Texas Health Resources is one of the largest faith-based nonprofit health systems in the United States. It is the largest health system in North Texas and serves inpatients and outpatients across the region.

Challenge

Texas Health Resources needed to add eCommerce functionality to its website for a new purpose: donations. The organization had not used eCommerce to support giving for causes and events. Users needed a simple way to choose where they wanted to give and how they wanted to pay. THR also needed better visibility into donation orders and transaction data.

Solution

Texas Health Resources partnered with XCentium to add eCommerce capabilities to its existing technology stack. XCentium implemented Sitecore OrderCloud to support donations for specific causes and THR-hosted events.

The solution gave users more control over the donation experience. They could choose preset donation amounts or enter their own contribution. They could also make one-time donations, set up recurring contributions, or make pledge donations.

XCentium integrated Authorize.net to support credit card payments, Google Pay, and PayPal. A custom admin portal gave business users a way to generate detailed order reports and improve visibility into transactions. After launch, XCentium provided hypercare support to help ensure the solution ran smoothly and address immediate issues.

Outcomes

The new Sitecore OrderCloud donation experience gave THR a practical way to support purpose-driven giving through its website. Users could contribute to specific causes and events with fewer steps and more payment choices.

The solution also improved internal visibility. Business users could track orders and donation data through the custom admin portal, giving THR more control over donation reporting and transaction management.
