Challenge

PIMCO needed to upgrade its website to support high volumes of financial data and make content management easier for editorial teams. The platform needed to help teams manage complex financial pages, workflows, disclosures, and fund data more efficiently. It also needed to deliver a strong mobile experience for PIMCO’s global users.

Solution

PIMCO partnered with XCentium to build a mobile-first digital experience on Sitecore. The platform gave editorial teams a centralized way to manage content and workflows across complex financial pages.

XCentium built the solution on an extensive private cloud infrastructure with more than 20 integrations. These integrations connected PIMCO’s data repositories and supported fast, consistent delivery of fund and share class information.

The team also implemented personalization, intelligent search, compliance support, and dynamic charting. Sitecore Rules Engine was used to serve legal disclosures and footnotes in line with industry standards. Predictive and personalized search helped users find content through a cleaner, more relevant interface. Highcharts was used to present dynamic performance data across device types.

Outcomes

PIMCO’s website now supports a faster, more personalized, and more accessible digital experience. Users can retrieve fund and share class data in under 200ms, view performance information across devices, and receive content tailored to their behavior and preferences.

The upgraded platform also helps PIMCO manage data for more than 600 funds while giving editorial teams better control over content and workflows.
