Globus

Centralized DAM and PIM in Sitecore Content Hub to replace fragile legacy systems, streamline search and workflows, and support content reuse across brands, regions, and channels

About the client

Globus has created travel experiences for more than 90 years. The company is a leading tour operator with more than 30 tourism and aviation businesses across 50 global offices. Globus combines travel expertise and a trusted network to deliver vacations with premium transportation and VIP access to iconic destinations.

Challenge

Globus relied on outdated, homegrown digital asset management and product information management systems. These systems were costly to maintain, lacked modern functionality, and often had performance issues. Separate and unsupported platforms across individual brands created inconsistent workflows and made collaboration harder. Content teams struggled to find and reuse assets, which slowed productivity and affected the customer experience. The risk of disrupting fragile legacy systems also limited innovation.

Solution

Globus partnered with Sitecore and XCentium to implement Sitecore Content Hub as a centralized platform for its family of brands. The solution unified digital asset management and product information management in one scalable system for global content operations.

XCentium helped Globus improve the way content is created, managed, searched, shared, and distributed across brands, regions, and languages. Stronger workflows made it easier for content creators to manage the content lifecycle and distribute materials more consistently.

The platform also improved search and reuse. Teams could find approved assets faster, reduce redundant work, and use a unified content source to deliver content across multiple channels.

Outcomes

The first phase of the Sitecore Content Hub initiative gave Globus a modern content foundation. The platform now serves as a single source of truth for digital assets and product content across Globus brands worldwide.

Content authors can create, search, share, and distribute content more efficiently. Teams across regions, languages, and brands can collaborate more easily. By consolidating platforms, Globus reduced licensing fees and operational expenses while lowering the risk tied to fragile legacy systems.

We hit the implementation partner jackpot with XCentium. During the sales process and in their marketing, they hyped and touted their qualifications and expertise. However, it’s no hype and it’s the real deal. We’re so lucky to be working with them on our global Website infrastructure.
